What
is “eHealth”
“eHealth”
is an electronic health record sharing system launched by the Hong Kong
Government. It allows authorized public and private healthcare providers to
securely access and share patients’ electronic health records with their
consent, improving diagnostic and treatment efficiency.
Benefits
of “eHealth”
- Data Security: Only authorized healthcare
providers, under a “need-to-know” basis and with the patient’s consent,
can access the health data.
- Reduce Duplicate Tests: Healthcare providers can
view patients’ health data on the “eHealth” platform, saving time
and costs.
Radiology
Examination Report & Image Sharing
- The Hospital Authority has
enabled radiology image sharing on “eHealth” since 2021.
- UMP can, upon patient
request, securely upload their radiology examination reports and images to
“eHealth” to ensure more comprehensive diagnosis.
How
to Register
- Online Registration: Via official “eHealth” website or “iAM Smart”.
- In-person Registration: Via eHR registration centers under Hospital Authority or Department of Health, or at mobile
registration counters.
